Tanzania Impact Journey

Travel from the Indian Ocean coastline of Dar es Salaam to the creative pulse of Arusha, into the wild expanse of a northern safari park, and finally to the sun-washed beaches of Zanzibar. Your days flow with ease—beautiful hotels, trusted guides, seamless logistics—so you can stay present to everything unfolding around you.

Create alongside young artists at UAACC, take part in a thoughtful giving moment with a Maasai community, and move through history with people who live it every day. Expect context-rich city walks, a breathtaking game drive in Ngorongoro or Tarangire, the wonders of Stone Town, the fragrances of a classic spice tour, rooftop dinners at golden hour, and stretches of shoreline soft enough to quiet the mind.

Come for the wonder. Leave with connection—to people, to place, and to a deeper sense of purpose.

Purposeful pathways across Tanzania

Dar es Salaam

Ease into your luxury hotel room after being met by our ground team at the airport and royally welcomed to the African continent. On our purposefully curated journey through Tanzania's vibrant Dar Es Salaam we will learn about Pan African Liberation History in Tanzania then relax and reflect back at the hotel (which has a lovely spa) and a range of dining experiences.

Kilimanjaro Hotel, Dar es Salaam. 5 Stars.

Arusha

The next day we fly to culturally rich Arusha for creativity workshops with the Children of Tomorrow in Imbesseni village. A highlight of this Afara Journey is the Maasai giving ceremony where you'll get to give back to the village. We'll also go on safari to experience some deep reflection in nature. You'll get to participate in a village walk, a coffee tour, a bit of local shopping and lots of great local food.

Zanzibar

Finally, we fly to Zanzibar where Stone Town's stunning beauty, complicated history, and opulent rooftops await. After a spice tour and delicious local lunch, we arrive on a crystelline beach out on Zanzibar's North Coast for our final day and farewell feast. Our closing collective "karibu sana" happens as we depart Tanzania together.

Luxury Lodging

Rest easy in thoughtfully selected, design-forward hotels—5-star city icons, boutique hideaways, and character stays—chosen for comfort, safety, and a true sense of place. Expect seamless amenities, generous service, and restful rooms that restore you between days of learning, connection, and adventure.

Hotel room with a large bed, a sitting area, and a view of the city skyline through large windows.
Modern hotel bathroom with a freestanding bathtub, wall-mounted sink, large mirror, black window blinds, and beige wood flooring.

Fine Dining

You’ll eat meals that feel as if they’ve been prepared just for you—fresh, elegant, and shaped by Tanzania’s natural abundance. You’ll eat on rooftops where Swahili spices drift through the evening air, and by the ocean where chefs grill the day’s catch only minutes after it leaves the water. We happily accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other dietary needs.
